D-Crunch landed in Malaysia last week to begin their more than week-long showcase tour in the country.
Rappers O.V, Hyunho, Minhyuk, Chanyoung, Jeongseung and Dylan, as well as vocalists Hyunwook, Hyunoh and Hyunwoo make up the South Korean hip hop idol group that are meeting their fans, who go by the name Diana, in Malaysia up until the end of this month.
Their first showcase was held last Friday at Fahrenheit88 Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur, where screaming fans welcomed the nine members enthusiastically. Reaching the venue long before their 7.30pm showcase was to start, they could be seen taking group photos backstage as they waited for the show to begin.
While waiting, fans (who, by the way, came from various places like Dubai, Vietnam and Korea) also got the chance to win some prizes, all they had to do was answer questions regarding the group.

Opening act Aqeesh Aleeya kicked off the show with her song “Aku Malu”, followed by a cover of BLACKPINK’s “Whistle” (D-Crunch was excitedly singing and dancing along backstage to this song).
The band came on next, performing their first song for the evening, “Palace”. They then followed it up with “I’m Okay” and “I Want”.
The band then continued with a Q&A session with the emcee, during which they were asked what they would be if they weren’t an idol. A normal university and an athlete were among the replies. It was also during this session that they took the chance to thank their fans for supporting them since they debuted in August last year.

The next segment was a game session with the fans, called “Shall We Dance?”. As the name stated, the game involved dancing.
They were broken up into groups of three and each group had to pick one fan from the crowd to dance with them. Once the fans were selected, came time to pick the song to dance to.
BLACKPINK’s “Boombayah”, BTS’ “Idol” and Sunmi’s “Gashina” were then performed and the group with the loudest cheers from fans won (no one can beat BLACKPINK power in this case).
Done with the game, the show went on with “I Miss You” and ended with the song “Stealer”.
