Dark Pop songstress Naomi G makes her official debut in the Singaporean music scene with her first single, “Cage the Animal”.
Described as a gothic pop R&B tune, the song chronicles the cycle of abusive and toxic relationships and how to get away from it triumphantly in order to rebuild one’s dignity.
The eclectic newcomer combines the broody minimalism of Lorde and Banks with the chameleonic tendencies of artists like Halsey in this track that begins rather unassumingly with nostalgic, flatlining keyboards and ethereal soundscapes, and evolves into a vindictive anthem that turns emotional scarring and pain into a source of strength.

Released under indie label, Umami Records, “Cage the Animal” is the lead single off of Naomi G’s upcoming debut EP, which is set to be released in 2021.
