With the public unable to visit the zoo during the government-enforced Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia, Zoo Negara is finding itself in a bit of a fix collecting resources to continue providing care for its animals.
Enter Fazura. Ever willing to lend a helping hand, the Malaysian singer-actress has reposted Zoo Negara’s Instagram posts to raise awareness on the matter.
“Do not ignore this please and let’s do our part immediately! Link in my bio to donate and start adopting these warrior cuties! May you be blessed for your generosity!,” she posted.
Some of the “warrior cuties” up for adoption are Kayla the tiger, Jessy the tapir, Choki the orangutan, Samba the lion and Sibol the elephant. Swipe left on the post below to see them all.
Zoo Negara will remain closed to the public throughout the MCO period.
The MCO, also referred to as Restricted Movement Order (RMO), was implemented by the local government on 18 March to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Originally set for two weeks, it was last week extended to 14 April 2020.
